Jason is an awesome podcaster and interviewer. I had the pleasure of appearing as one of his earliest guests on The Analytics Show, and would gladly do it again. A few great characteristics stood out for me - not just during the interview but also via follow up conversations. Jason prepares well, his knowledge of the subject matter, products, and markets are excellent, Jason understands the importance of organization culture, soft skills, and their strong influences on data & analytics programs & products, and he is genuinely interested in his interview subjects and that interest results in an interactive conversation.

I was privileged to be invited by Jason to participate in his The Analytics Show podcast. It was a terrific experience from beginning to end. All the preparatory information and instructions sent to me were clear and easy to follow. Jason's level of preparation was first-rate. He had really done his homework on my industry and company, and so the questions were very specific. Jason's own conclusions from his research were really insightful as well. This allowed the interview to really flow and be more like a natural conversation. In preparation for my own interview, I listened to a few that Jason had previously done and could tell that the effort that went into mine is Jason's standard approach and so am confident that anyone lucky enough to receive an invitation from Jason will have an equally positive experience.

I’ve worked on a number of podcasts, delivered presentations and written e-books but Jason Tan and the Data Driven Analytics Team provided a wonderful example of how delivering podcasts with topical content to a relevant audience can cut through the noise and activate discussion and commercial opportunities. His attention to detail, scope of questions and content and ability to engage his audience generated thousands of views and comments and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with or recommend Jason and his team.

Having done many podcasts and interviews, I particularly enjoyed TAS for its meticulous preparation - not only during the initial stages but the automated personal reminders till about the hour before the actual taping. Jason’s use of personalisation both in his communication and the thoughtful gesture afterwards (won’t spoil the surprise) is noteworthy. The questions are on-point, the interviewing style is impeccable but the part that stood out for me was the production & preparation quality both before and after the podcast. If you are someone who enjoys listening to real solutions to real problems, without too much of the “abstract” and some very smart & helpful “can’t-escape-this” line of inquiry, TAS is the show for you and Jason is your host.

Having never recorded a podcast before, and not being a regular listener of podcasts, I was a bit hesitant and didn’t really know what to expect when Jason approached me to be on The Analytics Show. He was very accommodating and understanding, agreeing topics upfront and really taking the time to make sure I was comfortable with the format and the process. Jason was impressive in his background work, reading several papers I had written and coming up with very thoughtful questions and discussion points on them. I really appreciated the chance to promote my work to a wider audience who might not otherwise be aware of it, and I really enjoyed the discussion we had. If Jason invites you to be on his show, even if you’ve never done a podcast before, I encourage you to say: “yes!”

I was a guest on the analytics show and was very impressed with Jason well before we recorded the Podcast. He was thorough in his preparation and research and was focused on making sure the content was relevant and valuable to his listeners. As a Podcast host, I thought Jason was also excellent. Being asked to be a guest on Jason’s podcast, I wasn’t sure what to expect going in. I have been on podcasts before and the process is usually the same, but Jason has a unique and diverse range of guests that piqued my interest in how things would run.Immediately, I realised that Jason had an equally unique process. Prior to the interview itself, he shared his work-in-progress with me to allow me to make changes where needed and to prepare myself ahead of time. His interview was tailored to my work at F1 and to his audience, and was well-researched. The interview itself felt relaxing and casual, but inquisitive at the same time.I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the podcast, and especially the personal touch Jason used to get to know me better and to transmit this to his audience. If you’re given the chance to talk on The Analytics Show, I highly recommend going for it! Otherwise, give it a listen 🙂

I was asked by Jason to attend his podcast earlier this year. His team were very professional, and really took the time to plan the content and to ensure that our time was used wisely.The interview itself was seamless and flowing. Earlier this year, Jason asked me to be on his podcast. I was eager to come on and share my expertise. I wasn't disappointed.I found the process and the interview to be professional and engaging. I have been following Jason's Analytics Show Podcast for quite some time. I listen to it in spotify during my commute or my gym sessions. I think his podcast is different from other podcasts, I really enjoy the insights that Jason managed to bring out from the interviews by asking really great questions.I give you an example on his interview with Matthew Liebmann to discuss about How Data Science is Shaping the Future of Movie Marketing. Jason asked on how the conventional movie/cinema industry gets their insights from limited data points as opposed to online companies like Netflix/HBO/Disney/Apple which can get so much more. I admire how Jason ask some honest and tough question like this and yet able to let the guest interviewee shows his/her strength by showcasing their plan and insights.Thank you Jason for sharing the interviews with us and keep up the great work!

From planning and preparing the discussion, right through to the recording itself, followed by post-production, promotion & distribution on channels and social media far and wide, Jason is the Rolls Royce of podcasts.
